admit that I dont even remember what I was searchign for when I
found your website. I stubbled upon it two days ago at work and
have been reading it every since. The detail that you have used
in describing your life is amazing. Its sad that you even had to
write this and its unfortunately and such a disgrace that you,
your siblings, and so many others have to experience tis. Thank
you so much for speaking out to all those with no voice. You are
a great inspiration of strenght! I work at a rape crisis center
and we hear stories that are similiar to this often, however, it
doesnt lessen the ill feelings we have regarding this subject.
You have provided valuable insight and again, thank you for sharing
your life with our life. I am reminded of the phrase I always tell
others: Hurt people Hurt people. Thank you for stopping the hurt.

Comments: I was very touched by your
pages. My ordeal with rape and abuse is far less than yours, but
is still one all the same. My mother had also been abused when she
was young, but thankfully she broke the cycle with her. She was very
protective of me and my brother. Unfortunately, an older cousin we
all trusted became my abuser. I don't think my mother has ever forgiven
herself for that. I have also been overly protective of my children.
I don't let them go and do some of the things that some parents let
other children do, in fear that someone someday will try to hurt
them, like I have been before. I don't think that fear will ever
go away, but hopefully someday, my children will understand why I
have been so overly protective. I am sure that you have reached the
heart of someone and helped them, as well as many others. Thank you
for your courage to speak out and tell a story that needs to be told,
even if some do not want to listen. Witsatologi Nihi.

part indian *Cherokee* like yourself. I'm only 17 and just learning
the horrible injustices suffered by the Indians. I have not come
across any racists remarks when i let known that i'm cherokee.
People have even said Awesome, i wish i was part indian It makes
me feel good. My personal features don't show any type of indian
characterists but My grandfather have very distinct features, i've
asked many times about my ancestors but no one ever wants to tell
me. I guess now i know why. Thank you for writing this, i believe
people need to know so that they will not be ignorant about what
they don't know about and so this will NEVER happen again. I can
only imagine what these people went through in their life, it's
