Comments: I absolutly could not stop reading your story. I can totally relate. Me and my sisters did not suffer as much as you and your sister and brother, but our father was very abusive. My sister was subjected to incest. We had to eat dog food, were sat in a row as my dad took turns putting his finger on our throat which caused us to stop breathing. It's a miracle we're alive. Theres alot of other things that happend to us but I can not list them all. Like you I am a suvivor. Me and my sisters remain very close. We do everything together. I am so happy that you were rescued. I wish you nothing but happiness in your life.

Comments: I too am a survivor of abuse - you may have read my story in the newsgroup... your words at the foot of the page that sometimes the its over now forget it approach doesnt always work is only just becoming a fact for me I am 19 years old and I fear I may never fully get over what happened / understand it / find the right approach but knowing that there are others out there who can understand makes all the difference.

streaming down my face as I read much of it...as a survivor of rape, physical

Comments: I began to read your story, though
something inside of me told me I probably shouldn't. I got through your
Decent into Hell, 1956 and quit there. I survived through physical, emotional,
sexual and ritual abuse and your story hits far too close to home. I have
endured many years of counseling, hospitalization, medications and hell
as I have worked to overcome the destruction. I am married to a wonderful
man, have 5 terrific children and 3 beautiful grandchildren with two more
on the way. I have never subjected my children to the horrors of my life
and they only know a portion of what I lived through. One day I will read
the rest of your story, though I must tell you as wonderfully done as your
website is, it's color design and music in themselves throw me back into
hell. I voted for your site and wish you good luck and continued growth.

Comments: Sorry, I couldn't read the detailed
accounts, thanks for putting warnings on them. I had that feeling of tightness
in the gut ... I listen to it nowadays. I can do something about my choices
nowadays. :-) I am a survivor of abuse too - I can't see where it came from
in generational terms, though of course there are lots of secrets. My mother
was my main abuser .. and before I realised what was happening I was starting
to follow into her footsteps with my child (moderate physical, beginning
emotional abuse). There was also sexual abuse (not long-lasting nor very
severe) from her father. I have to live with the knowledge of my actions,
but I am very grateful that my relationship with that child is a very loving
and warm one now. I have told the whole truth, and we have a good understanding
of ourselves as having broken the chain. I must tell you, I was mistaken
-- it has taught me about myself -- gee, thanks!;-) I thought at first you
were a woman, and I guess (I'm not sure) statistics may bear me out, maybe
it's my own experience, maybe your gentle and compassionate writings --
in any case I have learned what a stereotypical thinker I can be. I'm getting
there, slowly, and like you I believe we must tell the truth, because there
are still lots of others who can't yet do so ... AND because WE have nothing
to be ashamed of, and everything to celebrate! We survived! and we are surviving
still!

so, much of my growth to you for it was your sharing which awakened my sleeping
dragons, your poetry and your art reminded me of all that I kept concealed,

What for, I don't know, just you saved my life. I've gone through hell in
the last six months, divorced, bankrupted, lost my job, drying out in the
tank, arrested for assault and battery when I lost it all in a bar when
I lost my temper over some guy calling me a wimp; arrested for drunk driving,
haven't been able to get a new job because of my record, you get the idea
I think. I was driving back from another failed job interview and was going
to go back to the boarding house and blow my brains out, and you passed
me on 280. Your bumper sticker right next to that believe the children sticker
and your license plate got my curiosity up. When I got back to the boarding
house, while I was cleaning my gun and writing out the note, I kept thinking
about why you'd have what is obviously a personal website advertised on
your truck, and I just couldn't get that out of my mind, so I went to another
one of the guy's rooms, and asked him to go to your URL; he had to do a
search for ghostwolf since I couldn't remember the whole thing, but soon
as I saw nemasys I knew it was the right one. I thought I'd been through
hell, but reading your bio, and reading that How to kill love that you wrote
showed me that a guy could go through hell, grief, and an absolute wreck
of a life and still go on living and rebuild his life. If you could make
it (and you obviously have, I looked at your career page too and your personal
page), then I sure as hell can make it too. Both me and the other roomate
were crying by the time we finished reading, and he suggested that I let
you know about it. I don't know what the future is going to be for me, but
now at least I'm going to find out. I'm going to find a counselor, both
a mental kind and a career kind and see if I can get some pointers and some
help. Thank you for showing me that life is possible. Eric

I was a victim of abuse sexual and verbal and physical at the hands of
my mother and older brother as well at times while a child. I have never
seen anything on the net quite as personally expositive as yours and am
extremely Pleased that you prevailed over these terrible circumstances
to be here to relate this to so many people at this time of societal upheval.
I have been a disabled epileptic since age 18 and currently am kept alive
by life support equipment. I am well aware of what it means to be grossly
discriminated against by strangers and abused by loved ones and abandoned
by so called professionals who pretend that the child's welfare is their
prime interest when in my case at age 12 the PhD psychologist wanted MONEY
more failing to report my Mother to child welfare for seducing me at puberty.
AS my parents paid him, he went with the bucks. I am pleased to see that
you have midi files in the background to help punctuate your text. I play
keyboards and sequence, if you may like, I can upload or attach rather
midifiles of original haunting music to you.. I now am going through the
discrimination made by society against people in chronic pain as I've
been on morphine derivitive by Rx for several years to conquor the pain
of bone loss and being nourished via indwelling catheter. The regulaters
in my state mercelessly hound compassionate physicians and their patients.
In a way it seems the battles never end. Take care. Thanx.

complete the abuse parts because i felt like i was intruding on something

in the Native Paths.. My Uncle taught me.. against tradition as I am female.
