Comments: I was searching the web looking for info. on sweat lodge ceremonies, and was somehow directed to your page.....My wife went through similar trauma as a child so it has helped me to process her abuse, she unfortunately is like Peggy and has been unable to come to terms with her childhood, and is herself very self abusive and very abusive to me and others....of course she does not see this or refuses to see this, hopefully Great Spirit will help her to heal before the cycle is perpetuated on her daughter by her ex-husband, we have separated due to her inability to process her past, and she is back with her ex-husband who I know to have sexually assaulted her at least twice in the past that I am aware of. I can no longer be part of her illness, I am hoping that she will seek help.....

Comments: I clicked on the link on an aol message board, where we were having a discussion of the atrocities pertetrated by the white man against the natives. (someone posted the link as a source of information on those atrocities.) I have no Indian heritage myself (that I'm aware of) but have always cringed whenever those kinds of things are brought up because I have such a keen imagination that I really cannot understand anyone doing to another human being some of the things I know were done to the natives of this country and other countries. I know they were done; I just cannot wrap my mind around the excuses used to justify them. Then I began to explore some of the other links for your site and have been sitting here in tears for the last two hours. I haven't yet explored the entire site, but I just wanted you to know how very moving this site is. I hope that the creation of the site has been of some cathartic help in assisting you in moving on. Comments: really like your webpage and would like to find out more. I to have american Indian Roots but nobody ever spoke about them in front of me. The way I found out about them was after my grandmother died and I went through some of her private papers. After reading some of your writings I realize why we were never told about being Native Americans. Some of my sisters still deny they are half Indians.
