Comments: I did a search on American
Indians, I am trying to figure out which band my children may have
come from, I am not very knowledgable and would like them to know
about their culture. Anyway that is how I ran accross your site.
I was teary eyed the whole way though. I stayed to work so that I
could finish your story. I could never imagine going through what
you went through or putting my children though anything like that.
I am very happy you that you have been able to overcome your experiences,
break the cycle and begin to have a relationship with your family.

Comments: I was reading about sexual
abuse on www.coolnurse.com and I saw your link. The minute I began
to read I became engrossed. I cannot say that I know anything about
what you have went through... But to see that you went through such
an ordeal and have come out alright is amazing to me. This past Oct
I had confessed to my mother a secret that I had been keeping from
almost everyone... I feel awful for what went on starting at 14,
mostly because I liked and wanted those things to happen. It is nothing
like what you have described... not to such a degree anyways. This
older guy was a teacher of mine (not in school... he was a karate
instructor), and we became fast friends. He also began to teach me
about his beliefs, and told me that what was going on between us
was because there was a lesson to be learned and a message to be
conveyed. He never beat me, though he hit me when I did something
he did not like... no one (including me at first) thought anything
of it. He was in fact a Karate instructor, and hitting is what they
do. This went on for 3 years, and he dropped me for my best friend.
I know that this is nothing compared to your experiances... but reading
how you came out of it is inspiring. This man is now in jail facing
multiple charges of child molestation. I still have flashbacks, especially
when people talk about sexual activities for too long around me.
Thank you for sharing your experiances... so many people do not believe
that things like this can happen. And those who have gone through
anything, any kind of abuse at all, can take away a feeling that
there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Yet again, thank you.

cherokee and blackfoot indians ( seven- eighths I'm told ) who was
forced by the government to sign away her heritage. Her mothers name
was Lydia Falls. I have been trying unsuccessfully for a couple of
years to gather information on how to reclaim my heritage from a
government I despise and have no respect for. This is my first attempt
at contacting an American Indian in the hopes that you might be at
able to at least steer me in the right direction on my quest. Thank
