| Comments: I think the term American Indian reflects the mistake Cristobal Colon made when he confused the way he tried to reach India. Knowing that the Earth is a sphere, he did not recognized that this materic is a new materic, not India itself. As soon he'd never seen Indian Indians (Hindus) that time, he called them Indian mistakenly. The same way the West India come. It had nothing to do with close to God eventhough it sounds consonant. Every boy in my Siberian town know that. Am. Indian came originally from our area, we still have a lot of in common, even your vigvam and Siberian choom are the same shape. But you should have not started your site with such original expalnation and did not expalin why the old hypothesis is not valid. It was Colon's fault, he did know that these people had nothing to do with Hindu. Why we should create something knew just because somebody may find it romantic and more spiritual.

| Comments: I have never actually encountered wolves, I raised, raced and showed 12 Siberian Huskies and learned their love, giving and acceptance into their pack. I feel very strongly and have some kind of kinship with a wolf since, in my opinion and those of other siberian husky lovers, the siberian is the closest animal to wolves. The intelligence, intuity, gentleness and kindness plus the love they give in return is truly unbelievable.

| Comments: H'lo, again, Ghostwolf. I'm looking for someone who knows the significance of the owl in Native American Indian culture. Could that be you? A little more than a week ago the youngest son (22) of a friend of mine was killed in a head-on collision. When my friend rushed to the site of her son's death (not knowing he had expired) there was a large golden owl standing, unafraid, beside the highway. This is a busy highway, made busier by the fatal accident and it was early afternoon (about 2:30 PM). It seemed strange to me when I heard this later and decided to research the subject. Can you tell me what this owl might symbolize, if anything?

| Comments: hey there GW. got your message and checked out your page on ther bio. My husband and i lived in Seatle for several years. we both went to UW. My background is Chinese, got a lot of family and relatives in the Bay area. Lived there in the late '70's up the hill from the Gray Hound Station on O'ferrel St.. Near China Town.
Ths Chines culture is not too good for kids and women either. I come from a military family. Someone was asking me what I did to make myself well. One thing is that I know my dad loves me, he wanted to be a good father, but his ways were damaging. He now understand this. It was a huge breakthrough for me to be able to communicate myself at this level with him. To make him understand without getting angry or putting him on the offensive. This was one of the last big step of my healing, I was gearing up to do this big one for all these years. To be heard and understood. It was like a wall coming down between us.
It's a very different things with sexual abuse, pluse each person, each case is different.
In my research, as part of my healing, a very important part. Knowledge is power. I figered it out why my dad acted the way he did. He, as a combat vet. also suffered post traumatic stress disorder, my grandma being a mental case futher intensified the illness. It helped me a great deal having this knowledge. He loves me, and he's also not well. He is much better now, much calmer, less explosive. He's not exactly the kind of father I'd wish for, but knowing that he loves me and how he grew up, I can work with him on this. He and mom just came back from a tour from Peking. He's tired, he said. Happy but tired. He visited some of the old places he once lived as a small child. He can die with a tranquil heart now, he said.
Him and I never had a Heart to Heart in my life. But when it's time for him to cross over, I'll miss him just as much. I worked at my healing with urgency. I don't wanted have any unfinished business with him or my mom. I had unfinished business with my grandfather, I learned my lesson.
Now the heart is tranquil and at peace. No more unresolved business.

| Comments: I was really, really hurt by your story. I can't believe, but then again, I do believe, that something like that could happen for that long. I read about stories of child abuse all the time. And everytime I feel for those children. It truly hurts that children are treated in that way. Children are so precious even when they may be bad. How could ANYONE do anything to hurt them that bad? I truly don't know why your mother didn't do any jail time. Then in addition was allowed to have other children and treat them the same way. I don't know to what extent that your brothers and sisters were abused but I'm sure that it wasn't nothing nice. How is your sister, Peggy? I hope and pray that you had a normal life after your ordeal. But I know to say that is sort of not reality. I pray for you and all other kids that have to go through anything that wasn't meant for them to go through. Ihope you are blessed in the most sweetest way.
